The UK's online legal information service - November 2007 |
Welcome to the latest issue of Westlaw UK What's New. Inside this issue: •
Changes
to Search
Template |
| |
Natural Language New content checkboxes have been added to the Natural
Language Search template - you can now choose to search Cases,
Legislation, Journals, Current Awareness and EU content separately,
together or in any combination. News Advanced Search Following feedback from our users new search boxes have been added to the Advanced Search template for News:
| |
If you conduct a multiple content search from the front screen and continue to search within your results, the content separators will now remain at the top of your results list.

Sort By Relevance The results list of the Common Law Library returns
entries relating first to the merged version, where
available, followed by the non-merged version and finally by any
supplement material.
We have now made it easier to browse through any of the Indexes within the Common Law Library titles by adding a separator between each of the top level terms.
Footnotes In order to see whether a footnote contains supplemented material an icon has been added after the footnote number within the main text. When hovering over the icon the following message will appear: This footnote contains supplemented material.
This icon also appears when the footnote box is opened, and before the footnote at the bottom of the page. |
| |
Following the positive feedback for the functionality
introduced within the Common Law Library titles we
have added Previous Section/Next Section browse
function to the bottom of all commentary documents.
This functionality has also been added to the
Legislation documents making browsing on Westlaw UK even
easier. |
| |
The Terms & Connectors link on each
search page has been updated to read List of
Connectors. This is to remove confusion when
browsing for this information. |
Kind regards, The Westlaw UK Team |
