The New Westlaw UK – Launching this Autumn After two years of intensive research and development carried out in close consultation with many of the UK’s top law firms, academic institutions, companies and the public sector, we are ready to release our new Westlaw UK platform from this autumn. Designed specifically to meet the research and information needs of the UK’s legal community, the new Westlaw UK unites the very best content with a high performance online engine to provide accurate, current information whilst dramatically improving and speeding up the legal research process. From July 24you will notice a screen-shot of the new Westlaw UK on the sign-on page and, if you wish, you can choose to go through to an information page which will provide you with more detail. To ensure we keep all our customers informed of our plans for migration to the new platform, we would like to take the opportunity now to explain the process in a little more detail. This month sees the start of the final stage of testing. This will run for three months. Our approach to migration will be highly consultative and we will be in touch with you all individually over the coming months. We would therefore greatly appreciate your views as to how we can best achieve the migration and will seek to time individual customer migration to minimise inconvenience. Migration is not due to complete until August 2007. If you have any questions or feedback at this stage, please send this directly to your Westlaw UK Account Manager. |

On June 30th, Westlaw UK will unfortunately lose access to The Guardian newspaper and the GRDN database will be removed in its entirety. This publication is being removed because the distributor no longer has the rights to distribute to Thomson. |
|||
On June 9, Westlaw UK introduced five new full text journals from Tottel Publishing:
Each of these journals can be searched individually via the directory or included in a UK-JLR search. You can also link to the full text article from within the LJI abstract. |
