Litigation History Reports
You can now use the new litigation history reports to view the past activity of a judge or attorney.
The reports are linked to documents in the Profiles of Attorneys and Judges (PROFILER-WLD), so retrieve a document for an attorney or judge in PROFILER-WLD, and then click the Litigation History Reports link on the Links tab. Alternatively, if you are viewing a case law opinion, court document, or docket filing, click the link for an attorney or judge and then click Litigation History Reports on the Links tab.
The reports include information about an attorney or judge's
- Caseload - number of cases by year
- Case Types - practice area (e.g. intellectual property)
- Clients/Parties - "clients" for attorneys, "parties" for judges
- Industries - industry involved in litigation (e.g. energy, insurance)
- Role of Attorney - plaintiff or defendant (attorney records only)
- Law Firms involved in cases (judge only)
- Courts in which cases were heard (attorney records only)
- Judges (attorney records only)
- Attorneys (judge records only)
- List of Court Documents

Global Banking Resource (GBR)
GBR is a comprehensive global database of financial institutions offering worldwide coverage of banks, bank holding companies, credit unions, savings and loans, and other financial institutions.
Transnational Joint Ventures (TRANSJV)
This database contains the full text of Transnational Joint Ventures, a Thomson/West treatise originally published by Business Laws, Inc. It provides a collection of texts, forms, and selected laws and regulations for structuring joint ventures between U.S. and foreign companies.

Merger and Acquisition Information on Westlaw
Westlaw has a range of M&A / Corporate / Banking and Finance / Financial databases that may be of use to your firms.
If the Company Information Tab isn't already displayed add this in the following way:
1. Log into Westlaw
2. Click on Add/Remove Tabs
3. Under the heading Business and News Information tick Company Information
4. Click Next
5. Then Save
6. This tab will now be added to your display.
7. To view the information contained on this tab click the grey "I" for a brief synopsis of each collection of databases.
Should you wish to find out more detailed information about each specific database click on the database name and then click the grey 'I" for that specific database.

- Hoovers: Company profiles from Hoover's Inc. providing financial and operational information on approximately 4,000 of the largest U.S. public corporations, as well as 1,000 large private U.S. companies, non-U.S. corporations, and other enterprises (e.g., charitable foundations and not-for-profit associations, unions, government corporations, and universities). - Investext: Full-text Investext research reports written by investment specialists from leading brokerage houses, investment banks, and financial research firms worldwide, covering more than 30,000 U.S. and international companies and 53 industries. - Dun and Bradstreet - both D&B General Reports and D&B Worldbase: Information on the history, day-to-day operations, finances, and corporate affiliations of more than 70 million companies throughout the world. Content from Dun and Bradstreet.
- Mergers and Acquisitions - Deal Information:
Covers approximately 182,000 U.S. mergers and acquisitions from 1977 to present and 292,000 international mergers and acquisitions from 1985 to present. Detailed reports contain descriptive data on target and acquirer companies, terms of the transactions, and advisor information. Public and private transactions are covered. - Extel Cards Company Report: Offer up-to-date "as reported" company fundamental data on approximately 15,000 global equities in over 60 developed and emerging countries and 40 industries. - Worldscope Company Reports: Provides standardized financial statement data, calculated ratios, monthly market price data, extensive per share data, security and market data, product and geographic segment data, and textual profile data on quoted companies worldwide. Covers approximately 32,000 active public companies. All financial data is provided in the currency of the domicile country. Four major templates are offered - Industrial, Insurance, Banks and Other Financial - to facilitate comparisons between companies and industries within and across national boundaries. - Disclosure: Business and financial information on approximately 12,000 public companies derived from reports filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) (10-Ks, 20-Fs, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, proxy statements, registration statements, and annual reports). Financial information includes annual and quarterly balance sheets, income and cash flow statements, annual financial ratios and weekly price-earnings information. Business information includes the full text of the management discussion, the president's letter to shareholders, footnotes to financials, officers, directors, subsidiaries and exhibits. The database also contains information on each company, including the address, telephone number, Fortune and Forbes numbers, SIC codes, auditor, stock transfer agent and legal counsel. Stocks on International Stock Exchanges
- Access the Quotes Service: Provides close of day equity prices from approximately 100 exchanges (including all domestic exchanges and most major foreign exchanges) as well as close of day market index information for Dow Jones, NASDAQ, AMEX and NYSE indices. The stock opening price, high, and adjusted close (closing price adjusted to take into consideration subsequent capital actions) and trading volume will all be displayed in the quote result except where coverage indicates otherwise. The Quotes Service also offers the option to display the "unadjusted close". Market index results display the close of business index value, the opening price, high, low, previous close, change between closes, and calculates the percentage of the change.
