The legally qualified Case Law Team is based across two sites - Chancery Lane in London and Mytholmroyd in Yorkshire. The Case Law Team write the case reports from transcript to summarise the key legal concepts at issue and attend Court in order to hear ex tempore judgments. In addition, the Production Editors and Editorial Assistants ensure that information is available on Westlaw UK to support seamless linking through a case's direct and indirect history.

The Case Law Team is also supported by a Tracking Team, who are experts in using their network of contacts to track down difficult-to-obtain judgments.

The Legislation Team are experts in the field of legislative interpretation. Committed to delivering a high quality service, this team is responsible for updating and consolidating legislation for Westlaw UK, providing a level of detail and quality of content unrivalled by any other source.

The Articles Team, specialists in legal classification, index and abstract articles from more than 500 titles, constantly adding new content to the Legal Journals Index.

The News Team monitor more than 600 websites on a daily basis and scan all the news, press releases, green and white papers, cases, bills and legislative material. The team of 11 editors abstract the legal and regulatory news from these sources and feed this through to Westlaw UK three times a day, every working day.

These teams are further supported in their work by other members of the nearly 300-strong editorial team. The team includes editors who work on the Sweet & Maxwell journals and law reports which appear in full text on Westlaw UK and the major works which form part of the specialist services on Westlaw UK, including the Edinburgh-based Scottish Legal Editors and the Editors who work on the specialist EU content.
